LIMA, Ohio (WLIO) — Local businesses gathered in downtown Lima for the first “Beantown Biz Bash,” an event hosted by the Lima-Allen County Chamber of Commerce to showcase small businesses and kick off the “Shop Small” season.
Dozens of businesses set up booths to network and raise awareness of their brands. Organizers said the event provided an opportunity for businesses to connect with the community and each other.
Don Graham, operations coordinator for McMahon’s Best One, said, “We want to get our name out there. McMahon’s took over Best One here in Lima and Bryan, Ohio, and we’re trying to kick off the new ownership, and it’s still part of the Best One network.”
Lisa Marino, PT, DPT, founder and president of Victress Health & Wellness LLC, said, “Now that we are open in Lima, we've just had nothing but excitement. It’s just fun to be able to come and be surrounded by passionate businesses that are thrilled to be really boosting up Lima, creating excitement and a passionate community.”
The event also featured students from Heirforce Community School, who participated in a “pitch” competition presented by Junior Achievement of West Central Ohio, showcasing their future career ideas.
