Lima Senior High School exceled again at this year’s Ohio YMCA Youth and Government High School State Assembly.
With 25 students, Lima Senior had the largest delegation at the conference. It also saw four bills pass. They were written and presented by Chevonne Jackson, Shemaiah Tyler, Christopher Kight, Cameron Mills, Lily Capuchino, Rachel Fronzaglia and Azure Fish.
Also, Lima Senior’s Christian Ackerman served as Chief Justice and Davyon Williamson as Speaker of the House. They were elected to those positions last year. This is the eighth consecutive year that Lima Senior students have held state offices.
Youth & Government is a YMCA program that allows high school students to serve in model governments at the local, state, national and international levels.
