If you have ever wanted to be in a movie here's your chance.
The Heartland Image Foundation will be shooting "A Walk with Grace", a faith based film, within a month in and around Lima. Heartland founder and Lima native Nick Kellis spent years working in the Hollywood scene and is now bringing Hollywood to Lima. Kellis says they have raised enough money to get several known actors, a professional crew and distribution of the film. What they need is involvement of the community in many different ways to make it a success. They will be holding an open house this Saturday to explain the process.
"We're going to explain to the people of Lima how they can be involved in the movie because we have just enough money to get great talent, to get our distribution, but we don't have enough money to really make the movie how we want to. So we need people to volunteer as extras, people to volunteer meals, and transportation, and locations are falling into place," commented Kellis.
At the open house they will also be talking about their summer student film making boot camp for youngsters grades 6 through 12. The event is free and is being held at the City Club from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. this Saturday, May 13, 2017.
