People congregated at the UNOH Event Center Thursday afternoon to come together in prayer.
It was to celebrate National Day of Prayer, bringing spiritual and community leaders together. The event in Lima was just one of thousands that were held across the country. The day illustrates that people from all denominations and walks of life can come together in prayer.
"When you watch this and listen to this or come out for this event, and you see that we’re not enemies, even though we’re denominationally different, we can’t go and visit everywhere because we're trying to be committed and faithful to our own church, but we can come together on this day and see the rich benefit that we have of our leadership," said Theresa Lee, Coordinator of the Allen County Day of Prayer.
Songs and quotes from past government leaders were also included in the program.
