Lima Memorial Health Systems welcomed the first baby of the year into Lima at 12:53am Wednesday morning. Callen Hoying came into this world at 8lbs; 21.5in. Mom and Dad, Kate and Phil Hoying were given a Friday delivery date, but after Friday came and went, the two went on with life as normal.
The surprise came Tuesday night while at a New Year's party. With the birth of little Callen, the Hoying family will forever have two reasons to celebrate New Year's.
