The Lima Family YMCA is holding No School Days when local schools are not in session. The Lima City School District is holding a teacher in-service day today(10/25/19) and on Monday, October 28th. Children from grades Kindergarten through 4th grade can go to the YMCA for a full day of activities, such as swimming or playing video games.
YMCA Youth and Teen Director, Dave Michel gave some information on the event saying, “Anytime that we have a planned No School Day, we like to open up the Y so that parents can drop off their kids, and kids can have a fun day at the Y. We play games, play with LEGOs, we have a Wii downstairs they get to play with, and we swim twice, and eat lunch, and just hang out and use the Y.”
The fee for participating is $15 for members and $20 for non-members. You can call the YMCA at 419-223-6045 to register your child.
