Earlier this month, Ohio State Lima began collecting for the Battle Against Hunger food drive, and now they're wrapping it up just in time for the game against Michigan this week.
To get excited for the big game, students were invited to make their own buckeye candies and crafts while stopping by the Webb student union.
All month long, students have been donating non-perishable food items to go towards a grand total across all Ohio State campuses to try and collect more than the University of Michigan, and Ohio State Lima has seen a lot of support this time around.
"This year we seen a lot more support than we have in years past - we’ve doubled almost what what we collected last year, so it’s really good for us," said Brianne Ballenger, a freshman at Ohio State Lima. "It’s really exciting because we see a lot of hunger, even here on campus, so to be able to help people is really great."
The food drive wraps up Tuesday with Ohio State themed activities at the Webb on campus.
