"So, art in any form is helpful in mental health because it is calming; it's meditating. The kind of art that we do is more abstract, so you don't have to feel like a master artist in order to get the benefits. It boosts dopamine; it helps focus and concentration; it stimulates the brain. So, there is a lot of mental health benefits of art," says Samantha Haudenschild, coordinator of counseling services at Ohio State Lima.
