There was a full house Wednesday night at the Allen County Museum as community members rocked out to an annual blues concert.

But this wasn't just any blues concert. It was a concert featuring the Original Delta Fireballs and Geneva Red, a duo known for their authentic blues music.

Throughout the night the duo played several classic blues songs and Geneva Red even rocked out on her harmonica, causing the crowd to go wild. This is one of many free, blues concerts hosted each year by the Blues Committee of Lima and the Allen County Museum as a way to bring the community together.

“It’s just a really great way to offer what we do and the museum is an outlet for different kind of events that happen throughout the community,” said Amy Craft, Allen County Museum director. This is a really great way to tap into different audiences that might be interested in the blues.”

On March 1 the Original Delta Fireballs and Geneva Red will be performing with students from the Liberty Art Magnet School for a free blues concert at the Allen County Museum.
