September 19 is National Constitution Day and Bluffton University honored it by bringing in a guest lecturer.
OSU-Lima political science professor emeritus Dr. Bill Angel spent the afternoon talking to Bluffton students about the role of politicians and the constitution.
He stated that lawmakers can be largely self-seeking and the american political system was built to offset that tendency.
He talked about a prominent 15th century political rebel that shaped the way some american politicians govern.
He then rounded out his lesson with an emphasis on the preamble - the constitution's opening statement that begins with "We the people..."
