SIDNEY, Ohio (WLIO) - First responders were on the scene to remove a potential explosive device in Sidney Monday morning.
Around 10:30 AM, Sidney Police and Fire Departments were called to a home in the 600 block of North West Avenue after the property owner found a device that looked like a bomb. Emergency crews requested additional assistance from the Dayton Police Department Bomb Squad. Residents in a one block perimeter of the home were evacuated as a precaution. Bomb squad officials were able to remove the device from the residence and safely disposed of it.
