Public invited to explore Lima’s arts and culture on the America 250 History Trail

LIMA, Ohio (WLIO) — The City of Lima is launching the fourth installment of its “America 250 Lima Local History Hunt” Friday evening at Artspace Lima. The arts and culture trail invites participants to explore the creative spirit of the region, from galleries and architectural landmarks to live theatre.

Jessica Begonia, public information officer for the City of Lima, highlighted some of the stops along the trail. “Stops include Artspace, Lima Boilermakers, which used to be known as Oliver’s, the Encore Theater, Faurot Park, which actually used to have a zoo, and the old Faurot Opera House. There are lots of really interesting stops to learn about our history here in Lima and Allen County,” she said.

Participants can learn more about all the trails by visiting limaohio.gov and looking for the America 250 logo at the bottom of the page. The first 500 people to complete the trails will receive a commemorative pin.
