PANDORA, OH (WLIO) - Artists of all kinds showcased their talents today at the 12th annual Putnam County Arts Festival, held at Pandora-Gilboa High School.
The hallways and auditorium were lined with artwork from students in kindergarten through 12th grade. The art show featured hundreds of pieces, including 15 best-of-show selections chosen by a guest art judge. Beyond the visual arts, the festival also highlighted performing arts, with the honors band and choir—comprising nearly 115 students from all nine districts in Putnam County—delivering live performances.

"It's been a real success. We've had almost 1000 people that will come through this in the past few years. We don't have a lot of opportunities here in Putnam County to showcase the arts. So it's really a nice opportunity to spend time not focusing on testing or athletics, but really to truly give these opportunity for these young artists to shine in what they do well," said Gary Herman, curriculum coordinator with the Putnam County Education Services Center.
Organizers also expressed their appreciation for the art teachers who dedicated part of their weekend to help display the artwork.
