SIDNEY, Ohio (WLIO) – Two Shelby County men were seriously injured Saturday evening in a rollover crash just east of Sidney.

The crash happened shortly before 7:30 p.m. in the 6000 block of Pasco Montra Road. According to investigators, a 2023 Chevrolet Camaro was heading north when the driver lost control. The car went off the right side of the road, swerved back across, and rolled at least once, ejecting both the driver and passenger. The vehicle continued another 75 to 100 yards before coming to rest on its roof in a field.

The driver, a 54-year-old man, was first taken to Wilson Health in Sidney and then flown by CareFlight to Miami Valley Hospital in Dayton. The passenger, a 38-year-old man, was airlifted directly from the scene to the same hospital.

Authorities said it's unclear whether either occupant was wearing a seat belt. However, excessive speed is believed to have been a contributing factor in the crash. The Shelby County Sheriff’s Office is investigating.
