The Kentucky man arrested after a high speed chase through Allen County, took a plea deal to reduce the number of charges against him.
23-year-old Shawn Gregory has pleaded guilty to failure to comply with the order of signal of a police officer and grand theft of a motor vehicle. As part of the plea deal, the charges of attempted vehicular assault and receiving stolen property were dropped. He will be sentenced in November.
On June 16th, Gregory and his passenger, 21-year-old Kaylee Herman led Ohio State Highway Patrol Troopers on a chase from Beaverdam to Cridersville in the southbound lane. During the chase, Gregory crashed into a patrol car, crossed over the median and was traveling the wrong way in the northbound lane and was forced off the road by troopers to end the chase.
Kaylee Herman already pled guilty to a grand theft charge and will be sentenced next month.
