With all of the rain that has been coming down over the past few weeks, farmers are adjusting to the excess water that is in their fields.

Steve Liebrecht says that the rain has been a little bit of a problem, but it is still early in the season and still cold outside, so the wet weather hasn't set him back too much as of yet. Liebrecht says that he plans on holding off planting anything to have a better chance of avoiding a lot of problems later.

"We're waiting for the ground to get in shape and dry up, get a little warmer and not so cold," Liebrecht said. "I'd rather wait and do it right the first time than doing it two or three times."

Liebrecht added that the rain has mostly affected river bottoms and low-lying areas as of now.
