LIMA, Ohio (WLIO) – A new celebration is underway in downtown Lima, inviting residents to experience how the area has evolved in recent years while enjoying food, vendors, and live music.
Set between the Central District and Spring and Main streets, the Spring Street Jamboree features a variety of activities and entertainment aimed at drawing people downtown. Organizers said they wanted to bring back a festival to highlight improvements to the area, which has become a destination for shopping, dining, and entertainment.
“So, we consider ourselves entertainment district. So we're, you know, you got the amphitheater right down the road, civic center around the corner. We have the social house here, and then John's all his stuff that he's got going on down there. It's, you know, it's, it's pretty incredible that seeing the streets filled with filled with people. We've got our new, new stage, and it's awesome to highlight it here this this weekend, we've got some a great lineup of a line of people the central district's been booming all day with people coming through and getting coffee and checking out the shop,” said Shannon Gerasimchik, owner of the Social House.
Organizers hope to make the Spring Street Jamboree an annual event in downtown Lima.
