ST. MARYS, OH (WLIO) - The St. Marys Community Public Library is excited to offer a free learning opportunity for children aged three to five.
The preschool story time program kicked off today and will be held every Wednesday until November 15th. The program runs from 10:30 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. During storytimes, kids can join in on games, songs, and stories, which can help improve their learning skills and allow them to socialize with other children.
"It's really all about fun with words and books, and we do it every year through the school year. It was just time to start again with our schedules after summer reading was wrapped up. So, we do whatever theme we want to. Sometimes, we get new books in, and we go with a theme that we haven't thought of before. But today's theme, the first one, was just 'Hello'," said Vickie Echternacht, youth services assistant.
Next Wednesday morning, she will read "10 Dogs" and "How to Count to One" for the counting theme at the St. Marys Community Public Library.
