FINDLAY, OH (WLIO) - The University of Findlay held its annual Health & Wellness Fair for students and other community members.

The fair was open from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Koehler Fitness and Recreation Center. The event provided free flu shots and other vaccines administered by the Hancock County Public Health Department. Additional resources, such as mental health and chiropractic services, as well as information about the City of Findlay, were also available.

"The physician assistant students are giving flu shots, and also blood pressures, and BMI. We have the local health department, Hancock Public Health, who is doing tetanus shots, meningitis, flu shots for the community, and Hep A. And then we also have other vendors such as Belinda Ernst from Blanchard Valley Medical Associates shows a lung and shows us what smoking can do to our lungs," explained Tara Smith, director of health services.

Overall, the fair was successful and helped raise awareness about the importance of physical and mental well-being on campus.
