This year's theme was all about the ocean. The boxes were filled with essential school supplies, which include arts and craft materials, and snack items. Volunteers collected donations over a three week period, gathering 200 or more supplies. Nicholas Chambers, a student from Lima Central Catholic spoke about the importance of volunteering for your community.

"I learned that it is good to give back to the community. It’s really helpful for growing up, and being able to go out into the world and help others."

The Executive Director of the Childrens Developmental Center, Elisha Reineke discussed the importance of receiving these donations.

"All of these donations are so greatly appreciated. They’ll be able to use them in our day to day work with our children, so it really helps our teachers and our children out tremendously."
