Lima police say a domestic dispute between a man and his girlfriend turned deadly early Monday morning.
Officers were called out to the Lima West Apartments at 1855 North Cole Street just before 2 a.m. That's where they found an unconscious 27-year-old Stephan Kimble-Childress of Toledo in an apartment with stab wounds. He was rushed to the hospital where he pronounced dead. The victim's girlfriend, 19-year-old Autumn Spears of Lima, was arrested and is being held at the Allen County Jail on suspicion of murder. Detective Steve Stechschulte says that the couple had an argument and it turned physical, and Spears used a kitchen knife to stab Kimble-Childress to death.
The investigation is ongoing.
