For some people their favorite toy as a kid has became their favorite hobby as an adult and that is why hundreds of people headed to the Allen County Fairgrounds for the Train Town Train Show and Swap Meet. Over 50 vendors took part in the event, to help train enthusiast get the items they need to set up their own rails. The annual train show is fundraiser for The Three Rivers Division of the National Model Railroad Association, but more importantly the show helps promotes the hobby and the life long learning that it offers.
"That is why we like trains, because they help with the learning skills, we still have that in adult life, there are so many things that are problem solving" says Chuck White, Train Show Coordinator. "If you like to solve problems this is the hobby you should be in."
New to this year show was a children’s play area and Santa stopped by to talk to the kids of all ages.
