June 28, 2024, Press Release from the U.S. Marshals Service: Columbus, Ohio – The U.S. Marshals arrested fugitive Amira Reid during the evening hours on June 27, 2024.
Amira Reid was wanted by the Columbus Division of Police for Murder. Reid was allegedly involved in the incident where the victim, Juan Aleman, was shot and killed in the 500 Block of Riverview Drive, Columbus, on January 7, 2023. After an investigation by the Columbus Division of Police Homicide Unit, the Franklin County Municipal Court issued an arrest warrant for Reid. The U.S. Marshals Southern Ohio Fugitive Apprehension Strike Team (SOFAST) adopted the case, and discovered Reid fled the Columbus, Ohio area. On June 27, 2024, Reid was arrested by the U.S. Marshals Northern Ohio Fugitive Violent Fugitive Task Force in the 400 Block of Southgate Circle, Toledo, OH. Reid was booked into the Lucas County Jail.
