VAN WERT, Ohio (WLIO) - Van Wert held their annual "Ohio Has Talent" showcase this evening, with 15 finalists to entertain the crowd.
Saturday's contestants varied from vocalists, to instrumentalists, to juggle acts. With a different genre being performed by each contestant, the audience was able to stay entertained during the entire show. Not only was the audience there to support their favorite performer, but it was up to the people to make call on the winner of the 2026 Ohio Has Talent contestant. This gave the audience the "judge's seat” and allowed for a more interactive experience. The event was also held for a good cause.
"The money raised goes to CHP's patient care fund. And the patient care fund is there to pay where normally insurances, Medicare, Medicaid don't pay everything like people think or because of the age and what a patient might qualify for. So, fundraisers like this are very important because it allows us to keep serving people," says Kim Mason, Event Coordinator of CHP and Ohio Has Talent.
Keep an eye on the "Van Wert Live" website, for the winner of the 2026 Ohio Has Talent show.
