Vancrest of Delphos raises money for cancer research

Vancrest of Delphos has been helping out and raising money for a special cause.

Employees at Vancrest had noticed signs saying "Pray for Mike" in support of Delphos mayor Mike Gallmeier, who has been diagnosed with brain cancer and had to take a temporary leave of absence.  Vancrest began putting their own signs and raising money through t-shirts.  That money will be going towards cancer research as requested by the Gallmeier family.

Vancrest says it just made sense to pitch in and help out.

"This is a very cohesive community and it just seems like everybody was really rallying around Mike and wanting to do something," said Mick Murphy, administrator of Vancrest in Delphos.  "This was just one little effort we thought we could help out with Mike and his family."

You can still order shirts by calling or visiting Vancrest by June 16th.
