Zerbe pleads not guilty to murder charge

A Tennessee man pleaded not guilty to killing an Indiana woman in Paulding County in March of last year.

According to the Paulding County Progress, 44-year-old Daniel Zerbe entered a not guilty plea to the charge of murder during his arraignment this week. Zerbe is being held on a million dollar bond. According to the Paulding County Sheriff, Zerbe allegedly killed his girlfriend, 44-year-old Wilma Schwartz of Indiana. Her body was found in a vacant home outside of Antwerp, just inside the Ohio state line, but they believed Zerbe shot Schwartz in her car and then ended up putting her in the vacant home.

Schwartz had been reported missing five days before her body was found in Paulding County. 37-year-old Lisa King is also facing charges of tampering with evidence, she's accused of moving Schwartz's body to hamper the investigation.

Both have hearings set for next month.
