Just before 11 a.m. Friday, the Lima Post of the Ohio Highway Patrol responded to 3620 Ada Road after receiving a report of a car side-swiping a semi. Troopers found that the vehicle was heading eastbound and drove left of center, hitting the semi that was heading westbound. The driver of the vehicle was transported with minor injuries to Lima Memorial, and the driver of the semi was not hurt. The crash remains under investigation.

According to the Hardin County Sheriff’s Deputies, the crash happened just before 8:30 am Monday morning in the 16,000 block of State Route 117 just outside of Roundhead.  No names have been released.  During the crash investigation, law enforcement determined that the vehicle of the 25-year-old driver from Columbus went left of center and hit a van head on.  The driver of the van was taken to Lima memorial with minor injuries.

At around 3 p.m. first responders were called to the scene of a two-car crash. According to the Ohio State Highway Patrol, a red Toyota was traveling westbound on Harding Highway, when a silver Chevy traveling southbound on South Hardin Road failed to stop at a stop sign. The Toyota hit the Chevy, went through a parking lot, and came to a stop after hitting a fence. The driver of the Toyota was sent to the hospital with minor injuries. The crash remains under investigation.

Troopers say 59-year-old Scott Stombaugh died at the scene. Just before 5 o’clock, he was driving his Harley Davidson west on State Route 67 near mile post 5 when he went off the right side of the road into a ditch. Wapak troopers say he was not wearing a helmet. They don't think drugs or alcohol played a part. The crash remains under investigation.

At around 2 p.m. first responders were called out to a two-car crash at the intersection of Napoleon Road and North Dixie Highway. According to the Ohio State Highway Patrol, the blue Honda failed to stop at the stop sign, and the southbound truck hit the Honda. According to the Beaverdam Richland Fire & Rescue, the driver of the Honda was trapped, and the door had to be removed. One person was taken to the hospital with minor injuries. The crash remains under investigation.

A portion of North Street was closed for a short period due to a Car VS Bike accident. On Friday shortly after 4:00 PM, a driver was traveling on North Street towards Washington Street when the driver struck a pedestrian on a bike.
