The City of Lima has launched a “Ready Build” program offering free, pre-approved home plans to encourage residential construction. The initiative also includes incentives like fee waivers and access to build-ready lots to attract developers and new homeowners.

Lima Mayor Sharetta Smith will host the 2026 State of the City Address on April 2 at Lima Senior High School with a new interactive format. The event will focus on community dialogue about housing, small business growth and infrastructure investments under the city’s “Better Together” theme.
