The Van Wert County YWCA is looking to expand and grow with a capital campaign underway!
November 6, 2024, Press Release from the YWCA of Van Wert County: The YWCA of Van Wert County is excited to announce the launch of a capital campaign aimed at funding a new facility that will provide essential living spaces for Domestic Violence/Human Trafficking/Sexual Assault survivors and their families, as well as permanent supportive housing for homeless women and children. This new facility will also provide the capacity for their youth programs to thrive and grow, shaping the future of the YWCA and enhancing the services they offer to the community.
The historic YWCA in Van Wert is getting a big helping hand from OhioHealth. The healthcare services company committed a $100,000 check to the Van Wert YWCA on Thursday to support a capital campaign for a new facility. The current Van Wert YWCA has operated in the same facility since 1916 and has served the Van Wert community as well as four surrounding counties. The condition of the current facility is declining, and the new facility will offer new amenities and services and be up to modern standards.
