A special event Monday night in Wapakoneta, ahead of the upcoming 50th anniversary of the Apollo 11 moon landing.

At the Auglaize County Library in Wapakoneta, people enjoyed a free presentation of "An Astronaut Wife's Life" featuring guest speaker Simone Thomas, wife of retired NASA astronaut Dr. Don Thomas.

Before Thomas spoke to the crowd about his experiences as an astronaut, he reflected with Your Hometown Stations about the very event that brings everyone out to Summer Moon Fest each year.
