They've been teaching children the dangers of drugs for more than 20-years and this week they're teaching in a different way. The annual D.A.R.E. summer camps are underway. The 10-week Drug Abuse Resistance Education is taught in the classroom during the year at Allen County schools. The summer camp is a chance for youngsters from different schools to come together to continue their D.A.R.E. education in a more relaxed atmosphere.

With the heroin and opiate problems here in Ohio, a special committee was put together by Ohio Attorney General Mike DeWine, House Speaker Clifford Rosenberger, and past Senate President Keith Faber to help find out how to combat that problem, by teaching students about drugs in schools.
