Ron Derry, an Ohio teacher who lost his eyesight 32 years ago, continues visiting schools through his “GOOD” program, teaching students about kindness, trustworthiness, positive attitudes and overcoming obstacles. Derry, who has spent 50 years teaching — 18 years sighted and 32 years blind — recently returned to a school for his 15th visit, with the Cridersville Lions Club sponsoring the program.
