A Toledo woman has been arrested after she led officers on a high-speed chase after she allegedly stole items from a Findlay store. 30-year-old Angelica Delao is in the Hancock Justice Center on the charges of theft and fleeing and eluding. Findlay police are also requesting an additional charge of felonious assault of a police officer.

A Wapakoneta man was killed in a crash on an exit ramp off I-75 this morning. The Findlay Post of the Ohio State Patrol reports that 42-year-old Joshua Little was hit by a vehicle and pronounced dead on the scene. The post says the crash happened just after 6:15 a.m. Thursday on the southbound 75 exit ramp to State Route 103.

A Cincinnati man was killed in a single-vehicle crash on I-75 last night. The Ohio State Highway Patrol says 20-year-old Cole Kennedy was killed in the crash that happened at the State Route 696 overpass around 8:30 p.m. Sunday. Troopers say that Kennedy was heading north when he was negotiating the left bending curve when the vehicle drove off the right side of the road and struck a concrete support of the overpass. He was pronounced dead at the scene. The crash remains under investigation.

September 27, 2024, Press Release from the Ohio Department of Transportation: SIDNEY (Friday, September  27, 2024) As part of The Ohio Department of Transportation’s (ODOT) statewide rest area upgrade project, the Miami County north and southbound I-75 rest areas will close Friday, October 11, for demolition and replacement. The work is expected to take approximately one year to complete. The rest areas will be completely closed with barricades and not accessible by the traveling public. The new facilities are expected to open in fall of 2025.

August 23, 2024, Press Release from the Ohio Department of Transportation District 7: Montgomery County (Friday, August 23, 2024) – The reconstruction of Interstate 75 between Needmore Road and Leo Street prepares for the next phase of construction. As part of this anticipated shift, the contractor continues to conduct nightly lane closures on the southbound side of I-75 to move barrier walls. The expected traffic shift will move the two remaining southbound lanes to the interior portion of the interstate. This allows the contractor to begin work on the southbound exterior lanes.

August 7, 2024, Press Release from the Findlay Post of the Ohio State Highway Patrol: Findlay – The Findlay Post of the Ohio State Highway Patrol is investigating a fatal crash involving a single vehicle. The crash occurred on August 7, 2024 at approximately 1:26 A.M. on Interstate 75 near mile post 160 in the City of Findlay in Hancock County. The preliminary investigation reveals a 2010 Nissan Sentra, driven by Dane Green-Moran, age 17, of Findlay Ohio, was traveling north on Interstate 75 near mile post 160. The Nissan Sentra swerved off the right side of the roadway and struck a guardrail and continued off the roadway and struck a ditch culvert. The vehicle came to final rest and became fully engulfed by fire. The fire was extinguished a short time later by Liberty Township Fire Department.
