History came alive this weekend at the Johnny Appleseed Metro Park’s Lauer Farm, as people got a glimpse of wartime in 1944. The Allied Forces took on the Axis Powers on the battlefield once again thanks to World War II reenactors. People were able to see why the heroes of World War II were called the greatest generation in a display of armored and military might. One local hero received special recognition from reenactor Sean Graham.
