December 20, 2024, Press Release from OhioHealth: VAN WERT, Ohio – OhioHealth Van Wert Hospital’s Imaging Department has installed a new state-of-the-art Computed Tomography (CT) Unit to enhance diagnostic capabilities and provide high-level care close to home. The GE Revolution Ascend CT scanner was installed at Van Wert Hospital on Friday, December 20th, as part of a $1 million investment to upgrade this service for patients. It produces high quality images, making it easy for radiologists to read the scans.

There are many different careers and pathways that one can pursue in the healthcare industry. Freedom Bell is a radiologic technologist with Mercy Health St. Rita's. She worked for St. Rita's back in 2021 with patient transport, and discovered that she loved the imaging field and wanted to know more. While attending Rhodes State College, she applied for their radiology program, and obtained clinical hours as a student. She also took advantage of another opportunity while earning her degree.
