People at Ohio State Lima got the chance to "bone up" on their knowledge with activities being put on for National Fossil Day. This year's focus of National Fossil Day was the 100th anniversary of the Grand Canyon being named a national park. OSU Lima made the Grand Canyon part of the activities. Visitors had to place pictures of fossils where they can be found in the canyon. They also dug for fossils and learned more about the geological history of the Grand Canyon. National Fossil Day was created to help encourage people to recognize the importance of fossils for future generations.
