A man was pulled from a house fire Saturday afternoon in Darke County, but despite efforts of rescue crews, he was pronounced dead at the scene. The fire was reported at about 4:45 pm at 142 Jefferson Street in the Village of New Madison.

A massive barn fire in Darke County prompted a response from more than 30 agencies across six counties in two states early Tuesday morning.
