September 9, 2024, Press Release from the Ohio Department of Veterans Services: COLUMBUS – Ohio Governor Mike DeWine and Ohio Department of Veterans Services (ODVS) Director Deborah Ashenhurst are proud to announce the members of the Ohio Veterans Hall of Fame Class of 2024. Twenty outstanding inductees will be honored for their post-military accomplishments and achievements at the 33rd annual Ohio Veterans Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony in November. This stellar class represents 14 Ohio counties and four branches of the U.S. Armed Forces. Living members of the class range in age from 39 to 84 and there is one posthumous inductee. Each class member meets the high standards of the Hall of Fame, which honors outstanding service and accomplishment following honorable service in the military. This amazing group has demonstrated a wide reach and has improved the lives of others through the avenues of healthcare, aerospace engineering, rehabilitation, public service, veteran advocacy, motivational speaking, volunteerism, philanthropy, and much more.

August 14, 2024, Press Release from the Ohio Department of Veterans Services: COLUMBUS – With more than 300 former military members in attendance on Aug. 3, the Ohio Veterans Conference brought together men and women from all sectors of the state representing multiple branches of service and eras. The biennial event – organized and sponsored by the Ohio Department of Veterans Services (ODVS) – was held at the Ohio Union on the campus of The Ohio State University in Columbus and availed veterans and their supporters to key resources, inspirational speakers, informative breakout sessions, and networking opportunities.

July 3, 2024, Press Release from the Ohio Department of Veterans Services: Columbus — The Ohio Veterans Conference, which will bring together former service members and their supporters from all parts of Ohio, will convene just one month from today, on Saturday, August 3. This biennial conference is expected to draw several hundred veterans and will take place at The Ohio Union on The Ohio State University's campus, located at 1739 N. High St. in Columbus. Attendees will be availed to resources, inspirational speakers, informative breakout sessions, and networking opportunities. Under the guidance of ODVS Director Deborah Ashenhurst and the support of Governor Mike DeWine, the conference is designed for all veterans – men and women of service from every background, every era, each branch of the military, and from all walks of life.
