A new possible senior living center in Lima was given some financial help thanks to a state organization. The proposed Spring Street Senior Lofts was awarded a housing tax credit from the Ohio Housing Finance Agency. The living space is proposed at 88, one or two bedroom units for low to moderate income people, 55 years of age or older. The plan is proposed at the old YWCA location on Spring Street. The plan, though, does not involve demolishing the mansion on the Market Street side. The project is estimated at $14.7 million brought on by New Lima-Housing for the Future and its partners.
