At Monday's event, Second Lady Vance and First Lady DeWine spoke about the importance of early literacy. Second Lady Vance created the Second Lady Summer Reading Challenge, available to every child in kindergarten through 8th grade to join. The challenge encourages children to continue learning throughout the summertime by reading 12 books of their choice.

Foreigner just announced the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame Celebration tour hitting venues across the country following the band’s induction into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame on Saturday. On July 24, the second day of the 2025 Ohio State Fair, Foreigner will take the stage in the WCOL Celeste Center at 7 p.m.
Some local 4-H students benefit from the Ohio State Fair Sale of Champions. Braxton Method from Auglaize County got $7,000 for his reserve grand champion market goat. Ava Shroyer from Logan County got $13,000 for her grand champion market lamb. Lilly Elsass from Auglaize County and Aubree Topp from Shelby County were recognized for their dairy championship cows, and the milk from their cows and the five other dairy champions produced a Swiss cheese that sold for $32,500.
