Ohio is home to more than half a dozen owl species, including great horned, long-eared, and snowy owls, which are primarily nocturnal hunters.

With snow covering much of the ground across west central Ohio, you may be wondering how birds are finding enough to eat during the winter months.

Area children are getting the opportunity to celebrate Ohio’s only wild feline. As part of the Johnny Appleseed Metropolitan Park District’s monthly Nature Pals program, children ages 3 to 5 participated in “Bobcat Bonanza.”
