A car and semi-truck collision occurred in Van Wert County Thursday morning. Just before 8 a.m., a Honda Civic operated by 53-year-old Scott Rockhold of Urbana was northbound on U.S. 127. Rockhold was slowing down to turn westbound onto Wren-Landeck Road when a northbound semi operated by Egues Leon Victor of Bradenton, Florida, failed to maintain an assured distance. 

Shelby County officials are looking into what caused a crash that killed a truck driver early this morning.
