The new administration building marks the first phase of a broader effort to reconfigure the locations of county offices and courtrooms. Once county departments have moved into the new facility, interior renovations to the historic courthouse will begin. Those upgrades will allow all county courts to be consolidated into one location.

Magistrate Judge John Payne shared the progress of Lima's Veterans Court, and the different services they offer to help veterans down the path of recovery who are dealing with PTSD and other mental health struggles. Payne also brought a member who went through the court itself and is now helping others, all in an effort to showcase the importance of the court to the local area.
It is called theĀ Allen County Health AtlasĀ and it's chock full of health, housing, transportation statistics, and more. It features over 100 indicators that break down data even to a specific neighborhood with maps, charts, and graphs. All in the hopes to drive change and improve the lives of Allen County residents.
Around Allen County, roughly half of the corn has been planted and closer to 40% of soybeans are in the ground. In a normal season, planting would be nearly completed. A wet and cold April kept farmers out of the fields, and despite ideal soil temperatures this month, the frequent rain is keeping progress slow. If the wet weather continues over the next few weeks, farmers may have to start making some changes to their initial plans for this season.
