When many people think of Valentine's, flowers may come to mind, and Haehn's Florist in Wapak has been preparing for this holiday for a while now. The owner says that it's a big process every year to get everything planned out and ready for the influx of orders that they receive right around Valentine's Day. Another local store that is seeing a lot of business is Winan's Chocolates. They've been putting together chocolate boxes and filling orders for people, and that's been a big thing for them, especially as a local business that is still trudging through the COVID-19 pandemic.

With Valentine’s Day just around the corner, local shops are in full swing helping the community find just the right gifts for the special people in their lives.

For the folks at Readmore’s Hallmark, there’s nothing that shows your love and like the classics.

“I think it’s up to the individual,” said Readmore’s Hallmark employee Barb Starr. “Maybe someone’s into reading books all the time.. I think people people have in mind, usually [for] Valentine’s Day they have candy, stuffed animals, flowers, jewelry. I think that’s what people usually base their Valentine’s Day gifts on.”
