LIMA, OHIO (WLIO) - The Mercy Health-St. Rita’s Thrift Shop is adding new Saturday hours to help with some back-to-school shopping.
More Lima locations were added to the list of Rite Aid pharmacies closing after the company filed for bankruptcy last year. In a new list of closures filed with the federal bankruptcy court, Rite Aid on the corner of Elm and Eastown Road and also the store on the corner of Shawnee and Breese Road will be closing this fall. Those Lima locations, along with the one on Robb Avenue, are three of the five Rite Aid stores listed with a Lima address. The store in Saint Marys has also been placed on the list to close.
More local Rite Aid stores will be closing as the company tries to reduce expenses through bankruptcy. According to documents filed at the U.S. Bankruptcy Court, the Rite Aid on Robb Avenue in Lima will be closing in August. The store on North Main Street in Findlay is also on the chopping block. The St. Marys store's closing was announced by Rite Aid last week.
Rite Aid has announced that more stores will be permanently closing across Ohio including one locally. According to documents from the U.S. Bankruptcy Court, the Rite Aid location at 1502 Executive Drive in St. Marys was included on that closure list with the store already putting up signs saying that everything must go.
