October 14, 2024, Press Release from the Village of Rockford: The Village of Rockford will be having two special events on Saturday - October 26th, 2024. Beginning at noon the Shanes Crossing Historical Society will be dedicating an Ohio Historical Marker honoring Anthony Shane (Founding Father) and 'Johnny Appleseed'. This event begins at noon. Then the village will be celebrating "Rocktoberfest," an annual Fall Festival sponsored by the Rockford Chamber of Commerce and local businesses.
