An Ohio House bill is targeting more road construction to cut down on high-speed accidents. The Ohio Senate is taking a look at a bill that would require rumble strips in the center of all undivided two-way highways with a speed limit of at least 45 miles per hour. The House passed the bill earlier this year. An Ohio Department of Transportation representative says they have a policy similar to this bill in place for major highways. Here in northwest Ohio, the process of adding center rumble strips has long been underway. The Federal Highway Administration says center and side rumble strips cut down up to 45% on crashes.
