“I want people to know about sickle cell,” said Angela Grayson. “It’s a silent disease. People do not know in the community about our disease.”
Grayson was diagnosed with sickle cell as a child and now she is going around raising awareness of the disease she is battling.

The West Central Ohio Sickle Cell Coalition will be holding an informational program at the Bradfield Community Center. Sickle cell disease is a blood disorder that is hereditary. It affects red blood cells deforming them into a sickle shape causing them to get clogged decreasing the amount of oxygen your body needs.
