St. Gerard is celebrating Catholic Schools Week with a little friendly competition.
Teachers and staff from Lima Catholic Schools participated in some professional development Monday morning at St. Gerard's. Peter Range from the Diocese of Toledo paid a visit to Lima to hold a conversation on the topic of human dignity with the schools' staff members.
Local Catholic schools opened their doors to potential new families this weekend. St. Gerard Catholic School held an open house for families interested in enrolling their preschool through 8th grade students. Visitors were able to walk around the school, chat with teachers, and see the rooms their children would spend their time in. Principal Natalie Schoonover says it is a good way for parents to see what their options are in terms of how and where their children are educated.
