The Lima Fire Department released more information about the fatal fire Wednesday on W. High Street. They say it was 64-year-old James Shuler who lost his life during the fire. Fire officials ruled the fire's cause accidental. Fire crews were called to 1014 West High Street just before 3 a.m. Wednesday morning.

A fully engulfed house fire on the west side of Lima kills one person. The Lima Fire Department has not released any details about the victim. Firefighters were called to 1014 W. High Street at 2:49 a.m. Wednesday morning. The victim was the only person in the house at the time of the fire. The home is a total loss. The heat of the fire damaged the houses on both sides of the home.
